My Month In Photos - October 2015

Another month is over (seriously how quick is this year going??), Back To The Future is now a film about the past, I have finished 5 big commissions in the past month ranging from christmas cards to personal illustrations to prints and I have turned a whole year older*. I graduated finally on Friday 30th (more on that soon) and I managed to take a break from work and go visit all my uni friends which was beaut. The weather is properly turning wintery and I think it's acceptable to be excited for Christmas now.

*Side note, I didn't age a year in a month, I just had a birthday.

1. Work. Work. Work.

As I mentioned, I have been working super hard on a load of commissions this month which is ideal because, ya know, that's my job and I have to make a living. Here is a sample of some of the work I've been getting on with this month. The Christmas cards are a commission which have been sent off to my client along with all my other work. If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram you will have seen some of my illustrations and a lot more and if you don't follow me yet, you can here and here.

Also the portrait wasn't done by me (I wish), it was a present from Jonny Garrett who you can find here and read about here.

2. Spending Time With The People That Matter.

This month because of my birthday and graduation, I have spent a lot of time with my friends and family and the people I love most. I've begun my house move with the boyfriend (more on that soon too), I've spent some QT with the parents and grandparents, my extended family came to stay and I have of course, been babysitting my niece plenty. And yes, we wore matching outfits one day, totally unplanned but still sassy. Always classy.

3. Exploring On The Door Step.

As I've mentioned in many a Best Of The Week posts this month, I have done a lot of exploring my local area lately and my have I found some absolute gems. From places I've already been as a child to places I've never found the time to see, I have had such a cute month walking around in the crisp autumn leaves and my insta grid has benefitted too. Win win.

4. Rugby World Cup.

I've said before and I'll say it again, I have LOVED this rugby world cup. Every match has been worth the watch, there have been massive upsets (RSA vs Japan, England being knocked out anyone?) and the competition has been amazing. I am gutted I couldn't get tickets to any of the games but praise has to go to England and Wales and every ground that hosted a game, it's be amazingly organised and such a good show. And even though Wales didn't make it through to the final, we still beat England (soz guys) and proved all those injury doubts wrong. Cymru Am Byth!

5. Glyndwr Graduation 2015.

My best of the week on Friday is going to include a massive essay on my time in Wrexham no doubt so I won't go into too much detail here. However, after finishing uni so long ago, spending a bunch of time with my friends, my family, my tutors and my classmates was the perfect way to spend the last few dates of October. Also I managed to keep my balance on stage so that's always a plus.
