5 Minutes With My Advertisers - March 2018

Meet my March advertisers.

My advertisers this month have had to be a lil patient with me. In case I didn't bang on about it enough I started March in Venice (full post coming soon) and have hit the ground running to catch up and thus, here we are 10 days in and my advertising post is only just going live.

Luckily for me most of these cherubs are returning advertisers so know how uhm, lax I can be, and I am very pleased to be introducing them.

5.

Hailey has graced the sidebar on this blog for months on end, advertising with me first in 2016 in November and December and then again in January, FebruaryMarchSeptember, November and December in 2017 and also kicked off 2018 by advertising with me last month too!

4.

The most exciting part of last month was it was this cool gal's 30th birthday! I was super invested in her birthday celebrations and was so excited for her when she booked to spend it in Barcelona. She wrote this post all about turning 30 and how she spent it and how she felt about it and I have high hopes her 30s is going to be her best decade yet!

3.

Speaking of Barcelona, Hailey recently wrote a post, or I guess shared a post, all about her trip which was basically the biggest photo diary ever. It looks like she absolutely made the best of her trip and filled her time and the photos are just gorgeous. I haven't been to Barcelona but it's been raved about so much and these photos have cemented the idea in my head it's well worth adding to my bucket list.

2.

I love Hailey's end of the month roundups and I have mentioned it time and time again but they really are one of my favs. I love the detail she goes into and the memories she shares and reading all about her birthday celebrations this month was the best (even if her big party didn't go to plan). I am also utterly obsessed with her unicorn balloon and all her best bits being birthday themed.

1.

Not content with snapping up a silver and a gold package this year already, Hailey is actually back advertising with me again next month with a bronze package so she's very nicely done the treble! See ya in April!

Guess who's back. Back again. My blogging twin Megan is back with another advertising slot and you can read about her previous adventures with me from December 2016MarchApril, JuneJulySeptember , October last year and also last month here.

4.

Since we last spoke Megan has left her job and is starting a new one (soon I think?) and she's making the most of her free time and has got a swish new hair cut and taken THE swankiest photos and updated her blog a lil and I for one am living for it. You can check out her new darker look over on her Instagram

3.

I have been a long standing fan of Megan's blog and honestly I could rave until the cows come home about everything she does but I know she's been feeling down on her blog and her Insta lately and I totally get it. Luckily I think she's smashing it out the park and maybs has a bit of her motivation back and she wrote this post explaining it all and I have no doubts we can all relate from some point of our blogging career.

2.

I think I first fell in love with Megan's blog for her bullet journal and her blog advice posts so when I saw her blogging platforms advice post I was really excited to read it - and then remember I'd inputted to it a lifetime ago! I think blogging platforms and which you choose is a really interesting topic and as a die hard squarespace fan I love reading why people choose what they do. If you're stuck on where to start or thinking of moving then this is the post for you!

This cute gal is not set with just advertising with me again, she's also coming back for April and taking Queen Bee crown for the top gold slot!

You might remember from previous advertising months seeing Bethany under The Spare Oom. Bethany has previously been here from way back  in November 2016, following it up in AprilMayJune, July and August. She then had a big blogging rebrand and started advertising with me again in January under B.Rambling and then again last month too.

4.

Bethany lives in one of my fav cities on earth; Manchester and every time I go there we say we'll meet up and uhm, we don't. One day, one day. When we do however I will demand she takes me to one of her fav coffee shops and as if by magic she happens to have shared this post on 3 more recommendations. If you're up that way and you need somewhere to stop for 10 minutes for a brew then this is the post you need to read before you go.

3.

My favourite posts written by Bethany have always been her life ones and with the new name of her blog being rambling maybe that's why I love her latest post so much. It's a weird thing to say about a post that basically says she's struggling at the moment but maybe I love it so much because her coping mechanisms are the same as mine. This blog is my word vomit, my blog squad are the ones I rave to and when it's all done and out there I make a big old list of how I can tackle it and it's always been a god send to me, and it sounds like that works the same for this girl too.

2.

Finally I wanted to share Bethany's Instagram because oh lord she's just so fucking cute. Her feed is basically her, walking the streets of Manchester with the odd book recommendation thrown in and she just looks so happy and full of life and I just want to be her friend ok thanks goodbye.

1.

I mentioned last month that Bethany has signed up to advertise for a lil while with me so it's happy days that you'll see her again in April, May AND June! You lucky beans you.

Another familiar face that we haven't seen for a little while is Kelsey from Tickled Greene. She signed up for a Bronze in June last year (which you can read about here) and then came back in August for another go. Now she's here again with a new logo and a really neat neutral design to her blog.

4.

Since Kelsey last advertised with me I feel like her enjoyment of books and book reviews has developed even more and there's a whole load of blog posts on her site now. Her latest is a book called "Keep Her Safe" and I won't go into detail about what it is because, uhm, that's the point of Kelsey's post. Read it here!

3.

If you know anything about me you know my love for DIY and crafts so I was pretty gutted I missed this post on Valentine's gift ideas you could make yourself. Luckily though, Kelsey's ideas are universal and would work really well for all occasions so if you're looking for a last minute gift to make for Mum tomorrow maybe this is the post you need to be reading.....

2.

As well as books, Kelsey also has a big passion for photography which is evident when you view her portfolio page on her blog. It's full of photos she's snapped and the cutest kids ever and she also has a blogging & photography tab for you to view too.

1.

I always feel like Kelsey's Instagram is a true reflection of her blog and since her blog took on a more peaceful neutral form, so has her Instagram. If you like pale pink, lots of white and grey and soft textures then this is the feed for you. Oh and also ocassionally a cute puppy has a cameo so that's one to look out for.

I always share when advertisers have been advertising with me for ages so you can check out older links and older recommendations but Ellen has been advertising with me for a LONG time. You can catch up what I've had to say about her in AprilMayJuneJulyAugustSeptemberNovember, January and last month too.

4.

In case you missed the whole of the internet world absolutely girl bossing it this week, we celebrated International Women's Day and Ellen wrote a post on it which you can read here. There's a really great interview with a really inspiring woman and I thoroughly recommend you give it a read!

3.

I feel like self care and taking time for yourself has really become a buzzword, a topic we're more willing to discuss and something we're carving more time for in 2018 and Ellen has written a great post on simple practices you can implement into your own life. They're super easy things that have a huge impact such as lighting a candle and simply laughing which honestly has SUCH a good affect on me.

2.

Ok so maybe it might be a little late for shopping for Mother's Day but it's still worth checking out Ellen's list of Etsy picks! There are some great present ideas for Mum, maybs if she has a birthday coming up or maybe even for simply treating yo self but you know me and my love for independent seller so deffo go check this one out!

1.

I mentioned this last month but it's always worth you knowing; Ellen has secured her place as longest standing advertiser and has booked up to advertise with me solidly until December 2018! Ya never know, maybe she'll be my first advertiser of 2019!!

5.

A new advertiser! To both you and me! I think it was Abbey who linked us up when Helen was looking for advertising and I was sending promo tweets out asking if anyone wanted one. We were clearly a match made in heaven. Helen from Tea In The Tub (best blog name ever?) is a cruelty free vegan blogger from The Forest Of Dean and her bio says she's been round the world twice which just puts me in awe.

4.

I always try and include my advertisers latest post where possible in these round ups and I was really excited to read Helen's when I realised it was about switching up your toothbrushes. Helen's talking about instead of buying disposable plastic toothbrushes which we replace around every three months, you could make the switch to bamboo ones which are much kinder to the environment. I'll let her do the talking here but I really enjoyed reading it and it's such a small change that makes such a big difference, without having a huge lifestyle overhaul if that's not your thing but you want to reduce your own personal waste.

3.

If you're looking for some new recommendations for all walks of life then look no further than Helen's February highlights. She's got a post full of stuff she's loved from THE most insane looking vegan alternatives to Creme Eggs to films to the cutest little tote bags. Read here!

2.

So from a cruelty free and vegan lifestyle blog I'd be mad not to include something vegan when sharing links wouldn't I? Helen is right at the beginning of her journey through veganism and has written an honest first impressions kinda post about the lifestyle changes she's made. Whilst I know it's not a lifestyle choice I'd make, I am obsessed with reading about it, learning about it and working out how I could make smaller more sustainable and eco friendly choices in my life so I was super interested to read this post. What I loved most I think was Helen's honesty over it? It sounds like it's gone swimmingly for her but she's mentioned a few mistakes she's made or other people have made around her and also that she's continuing to use bath products with honey in until they run out. I think honesty like this is so important when it comes to sharing your story because it can be easy to think you're doing it wrong so when someone says "I'll continue to use these until they run out so as not to create excess waste and then I won't buy anymore", then it feels like much more an achievable goal to implement into your own life.

1.

I've always said how much I like people advertising with me because these posts gives me the chance to have a proper nosey around their site, something I might not do if I was just reading their latest post on Bloglovin. Helen has a few tabs at the top of her blog but the one that instantly caught my attention was 'the ultimate cruelty free blog list"' which is the biggest list I have ever seen of cruelty free blogs and bloggers and it's SUCH a good resource. Deffo check it out and ask to be added if you fit the bill!
