5 Minutes With My June Advertisers.

Meet my June advertisers.

Well who'd have thought I'd be in June with advertising slots booked up till September? All my Bronze and Gold slots are gone, you can next book one of them in October. As for Silver I have one in August and then both free after that. If you want to get one this year it's looking like you need to book ahead!

Anyway, here are the new and returning faces advertising with me this June!

5.

My Gold advertiser this month is a new little face for me. I wasn't actually following Leah from February Thoughts before and that's why I love advertising for other bloggers. I wanted the chance to not only shout about bloggers I know and love but actually find new bloggers to befriend and new blogs to read too so thanks to this gal for signing up and giving me that chance.

4.

Leah is supppppppppper busy at the mo with that little thing called university which we all know sucks all our time and energy so you've got time to catch up on all her older content whilst you're waiting patiently for her to finish and remember what life was like before deadlines and lectures. Go get it girl!

3.

The first post that comes up when you visit Leah's blog is this one on 'Monochrome For A Colour Queen.' Leah met up with fellow blogger Just A Uniform for a photo shoot to create content for a fashion post and the results are stunning. Can we just talk about that coat for a second? The texture, the fold, the details, the contrast with her nails, the added chic it gives to culottes and sliders.....it's a fab post and I now need a coat like that in my life for next winter plz and thank you.

2.

Obviously I wanted to include some older content as I try to do for each advertiser cos variety is the spice of life and all that jazz. I wanted to share a post Leah wrote back in December, it's not an easy read but it's not supposed to be. Leah shared her mental health story and it's an important read as everyone who braves to share their journey online is and I think there's a really important message in there about the TalkMH community on Twitter that I know a lot lot of people find super supportive and helpful. Obviously there's a trigger warning attached but worth the read for sure.

1.

You can follow Leah on Twitter under @FebruaryThought which I recommend you do because one of her latest tweets mentioned new content is a coming so you want to keep on track and be top of the tweet list when that baby arrives! And obvs if you do join in the #TalkMH chats on Twitter and are a part of the community then Leah is a sure follow because she so obviously enjoys it and that boys and girls is what Twitter is all about.

BAE IS BACK. Megan from Lazy Thoughts seems to be on my blog every other week through advertising or through me mentioning her and tagging her in bujo posts and having advertised with me in December, March and April she's back again after a month's break! Anddd because she's signed up to 4 months advertising she's only gone and snapped up her freebie month and she'll be back with me in July too so keep an eye out for more of her!

4.

I mean I don't know why I ever bother pretending I don't immediately want to write about Megan's Instagram whenever I do these so I'm just going to go ahead and gush about it for the 4th month on the spin. Megan's theme is v muted tones, pastel, bit of monochrome....it's spot on and she's absolutely smashing out the flatlays lately which I can only sit back and envy. I've always said she's one of the most under rated accounts I've ever seen and she's now hideously close to 1000 followers so go make sure you're following her already and if you're not - get on it. She bloody deserves it.

3.

Well I wouldn't be talking about Megan if I wasn't talking bullet journals would I? I think this is why we're such a good advertiser/host combo - we both write about bullet journaling and we both write techy blog posts and we both write about social media so the chances of our audience being interested in eachother is high (Megan highlighted this in her post here.) Megan's latest bullet journal post is a look back on her one year anniversary of journaling - an idea I loved so much I uhhh, nicked it. Read her original idea that inspired me here.

2.

Of her latest posts my favourite is this one on turning off notifications on your phone. It's such a simple thing to do, a flick of a toggle on the old iphone and yet it's amazing how reluctant we are to do it? But what if I miss something? Do you even get any engagement if you aren't scrolling social media at all hours of the day (answer is yes and turns out you actually get more done in real life too). I immediately turned off my Instagram notifications as a direct impact after reading this post and although I haven't made the commitment to Twitter yet I definitely feel like it's on the cards.

1.

My girl crush on Megan, her Instagram and her blog shows no signs of slowing down and in fact the more she advertises with me, the more I chat to her, the more I read her content the more I am convinced we're basically twins. Nearly 3 years separate in age but twins none the less you understand. I just love her blog and everything she writes and it's 100% down the fact we do such similar stuff - it's like a kindred spirit, she's obvs my spirit animal. And only the other day after she said people should bow down to her Instagram Queen ways I thought I literally love her if we met I think we'd probs be besties. And then I remembered she was at #BloggerPitP and that's where I first discovered her. I met the bloody gal and I definitely didn't make the most of the time (that's hosting for you). Next time.

Does Bethany even need introducing anymore? I may as well say we're co hosting my blog cos she's always with me, she's a permanent fixture on my sidebar these days and that shows no signs of slowing because she's only with me for July and August too! You can read what I wrote about this lil one here, here and here

4.

Bethany is one of my absolute favourite people on Twitter. From the time she #FF'ed drunk and I thought 'she's my typa gal' to the GIFS she sends when I tweet her which are always amazing, she also doesn't take herself too seriously and amongst all the fabulous blog content and the promos there might be a hilarious photo or some insight into 'the real life behind glossy blogging' and I literally love that.

3.

I always try and share a latest and a greatest post of my advertisers but for Bethany I'm going to highlight her two latest offerings for very good reason. Starting with an account of her recent trip to La Roque-Gageac in France, a village you probably didn't know you needed to visit until now. From the cutest looking toilets I've ever seen to the castles and chateau's of your dreams to the BEST photo ever taken on a swing, I love a good travel post, especially when it's somewhere off the beaten path.

2.

I just wanted to get a little gushy and extend a mahoooosive thank you to Bethany for being my longest standing advertiser. By the time I get to my first anniversary of hosting advertisers she will have been with me 6 months and that's if she doesn't sign up again after August! She is genuinely a gem and always SO nice about the advertising and just generally always makes me lol on social media and every time I speak to her. A little gem of fun.

1.

I wanted to do ^ that bit before I shared this last post and it's for a very good reason - I think this post needs a little weight to it, it needs to be shared last and you need to go away and read it. Bethany is from Manchester. She wrote this piece after the Manchester attack and I don't want to spoil it or take away from it because it's a wonderful piece of writing but the last two lines are 'The man that did this and everyone who assisted him can fuck right off. He's no Muslim and he's certainly not a Manc' and I think that's the best two lines that summarise exactly what we're all feeling.

Ellen from EL Feel Good Deals & Discounts has now been advertising with me for 3 whole months (you can read what I wrote about her in April and May here). I don't want to give away what's happening in the next few months cos it's very much a blog advertising first but Ellen is back advertising with me in July, August and September in a very unique way so definitely look out for that!

4.

I said last time that there always seems to be something new on Ellen's blog and I can't even stress to you how much that's true. Every time I go on Bloglovin she's got something new, every time I go on Twitter she's shared about 10 new savvy savings for your shopping - literally she's a monster and I don't know how she has enough hours in the day. I think we should all pay a visit to her 'How to set up a blog' tab because she's obvs bossing it.

3.

My top pick of recent posts is '5 Ways To Make Money From Your Computer' which is always a title that's going to grab my attention. One of her tips is to make money from your hobby by setting up a small shop like on Etsy and I can definitely vouch for that one. It can be a hard job but it's definitely rewarding and can be a really good little money maker.

2.

I also really enjoyed this post last month on why being a loyal customer for thinks like internet providers or tv subscriptions or car insurance rarely benefits you. I feel this SO much, I have a black box in my car and I spent the first year of my driving life being soooo careful on it, ensuring I had the best possible score when I finished to earn my 40%. Needless to say I didn't get my 40% off and actually my premium went up. They say you should change your provider every month and this post is well worth the read

1.

I mentioned this in one of my previous round ups about Ellen but it's worth mentioning again. Ellen pins all her content to her Pinterest page so if you haven't got the time to catch up with her 20 latest posts you can repin them to your own profile to read for later or revisit when you need the relevant info.

A new face! Well to my advertising packages anyway - not to me. I've been following Kelsey of Tickled Greene for a while now and she ever so frequently pops up on my blog comments or my Twitter feed or on my Instagram photos leaving me nice messages and generally being a bit of a babe and I'm really glad she wanted to advertise with me so I could shout about how babin she is.

4.

I mean why break the habit of a lifetime eh? I'm about to share a bullet journal post and yes I've shared about 20 in this post but they're my favourite blog posts at the mo and when someone writes a corker or has a beautiful bujo then I just want to share the love. Kelsey shared some tips and inspiration in her latest post and lots of photos of how hers is shaping up. Think lots of colour co ordinated pages, pink and really neat handwriting and you've basically just got it.

3.

Right so I said I read Kelsey's blog before she advertised with me and that's all true and well and good but I actually only realised she'd replied to a comment I left to her on May 27th....uhhh today. And in that comment back she let me know she's set up a book/bullet journal Instagram account and oh my christ I wish I'd seen it earlier. It's essentially a kinda mix of books for review and also bullet journal layouts and pink and flatlays and v highly recommended. (Follow Kelsey's bujo/book account on @_paintingofthevoice here).

2.

And then if we're talking Instagram's you may want to go ahead and follow her main account which is very similar looking aesthetic wise (lots of baby pink and baby blue, she's so on brand). If you want the odd motivational quote, a flatlay, maybs some flowers and the fluffiest dog known to man then Kelsey's account will probs be right up your street. And make sure you check out her graduation cap cos I wish we'd been able to do that.

1.

When scouring Kelsey's blog for an older post to share I didn't need to look far, I knew this one was about and I am a sucker for romance. Kelsey got engaged IN FRONT OF HOGWARTS and she wrote this post describing how he asked and it's full of photos of her reaction and if it doesn't make you tear up a little bit then you have no soul my friends.

Sophia from The Sophia Diaries has been an advertiser with my before back in March when she nabbed one of the Silver slots. This time she's back with a Bronze and she's actually booked ahead for the Gold slot later in the summer making her the first and only advertiser to have sampled each package! Pretty sure she could do some feedback for me on the pros and cons of all (if you want the inside knowledge into my advertising packages she's probably your go to gal.)

4.

I spoke about this in my last round up when Sophia was advertising with me but it's definitely worth the mention again. Sophia doesn't have Twitter so when I'm tweeting about her or when my #FF posts only have 5 advertisers names not 6, don't worry, I haven't forgotten her!

3.

But whilst we are on the subject of social media let's just let loose on Sophia's Instagram shall we? Again a v under rated account who deserves more followers, Sophia's feed is a healthy mix of fashion, blossom and the odd picture of food thrown in which is A ok with me. If you want that contrast between dark tones and greys against creams and white (which I do) then Sophia's account is 100% worth your time - and a follow.

2.

Definitely hands down my favourite content Sophia produces is her bullet journal posts (I mean did you expect any less from me?) Her latest offering is on tips for effective journaling which is a right belter. I have to agree so much on the first point on writing tomorrow's to do list the night before - I don't know about you but I can't sleep if I've got tomorrow's plans running throw my head and I always always write it down to get it out of my head.

1.

Andddd seen as we're on the topic it'd be rude not to share Sophia's latest blog post wouldn't it? Literally today as I was on her site researching for this round up she only went and published a Bullet Journal inspiration post before my very eyes didn't she? Like all good bloggers and journalers (journalists?) alike, Sophia takes her bujo inspo straight from Pinterest like me and she's shared some of the most gorge layouts that I plan to repin for my own journal.
