5 Minutes With My May Advertisers.
I promised I'd get this post published this evening and publish I shall! I'm away this weekend (and by some miracle I've managed to schedule blog posts for Saturday and Sunday?) so I wanted to introduce my May advertisers before I popped off to the seaside - I know, it's a hard life.
Here are the 6 (7? Jess and Josh?? This has never happened!!) new and returning loves advertising with me this month;
5.
I feel like Emma being an advertiser has been a long long time coming. She's messaged me SO many times asking about advertising slots, missed out to other people and she's been signed up to be Gold for this month for a lil while now and it's glorious having her here. And as if by magic or fate (or ya know, excellent timing on her part) she had a rebrand not all that long ago and is now the form we all know and love; A Cornish Geek.
4.
The reason I started reading Emma's blog way back when it was under a different name was for her stationery love. She is VERY much a gal after my own heart and she worked damn hard to get a full weeks worth of National Stationery week content out and it was all gorgeous. You can see everything on her handy stationery tab (a tab I believe any good blog should invest in).
3.
I always try and share social media link in these round ups and I thought today I'd share Emma's Facebook because she's one of those queens who does it so. much. better. than. me. I always forget about mine but Emma's is a happy mix of shares of her own work, shares of other people and more personal snaps and insights into her world. I need to up my game to hers.
2.
There are only a handful of parent blogs I read simply because I don't relate, I don't have kids and I know nothing about what they're talking about half the time but there are a few exceptions. And Emma is one of them. Ok so admittedly she doesn't JUST write about being a Mum but the reason I like reading Emma's updates on her utterly angel faced little boy is my niece is exactly the same age so her monthly updates remind me so much of the little madam in our life and I love to see where he's up to. Here's wishing him a huuuuge happy second birthday coming up!
1.
One of the reasons I am thrilled to have Emma as my Gold advertiser this month not least because I am a genuine fan of her blog but because she is absolutely one of the most loveliest, supportive people on social media ever. She has long been an advocate for my blog, constantly leaving me comments and sharing my posts on Twitter and including me in so many blog posts I've lost count - I honestly can't thank her enough (and get all mushy and emosh) for being such a gem and a constant supporter of my lil blog.

Oh hello little familiar face you. You might know Beth from SpareOom blog for a variety of reasons but if you're with me a lot you'll know she was an advertiser way back in November for me and last month too. And here she is again! And it might interest you to know she's only gone and signed up for June and July too which then means she gets a freebie month so she's a permanent fixture with me all throughout August making her the longest stand advertiser ever.
-insert all the red dancing lady emojis here-
4.
I've been a fan of Beth's blog since last year, since just before she started advertising with me and honestly (I said it last month) that I think she's going from strength to strength. She's one of my absolute favs to read, one I look out for and get excited when I see there's a new post to read. At the very end of April she shared this post on feeling like she wasn't getting what she wanted out of her blog so she's had a rethink and it's like she's gone all hell for leather and I for one am reading like YASS GURL YOU SLAY. Cos she does.
3.
I mentioned in April that I thought Bethany had upped her photography game and that her Instagram was looking sexy as hell. And then she only went and proved me right with the photography in this post on a spending ban. She's fast becoming my go to flatlay boss.
2.
A fortnight ago or so Beth tweeted me and a few other girls in a #FF frenzy when she was a lil bit tipsy and omfg I fell even more in love with her. I think we all ended up talking about bras at one point and she tweeted a lot about how much she loved us and bloody hell she makes me laugh a lot. Go follow her on Twitter and maybe she'll show you the same kinda treatment.
1.
Way back in November I used Bethany's blog bio as an example of why me and her are destined to be internet pals and today I bring you her Twitter bio; Lifestyle, Books and Beauty Blogger. Have a fringe because I cba doing my eyebrows. 'Endearingly evil' Need I say more?

Another first time advertiser! I'm sure Holly from The Kitty Luxe needs no introduction, I have no doubt you already follow her on Twitter or Insta or have visited her blog, I had before she got in touch about advertising. Also Holly is currently based in Cardiff so we were obvs a match made in heaven.
4.
If you visit Holly's blog you'll see the BIGGEST list of social media tabs along the side and each and every one is worth a visit. I honestly don't know how she manages to study for a Masters and run the blog let alone all the social media, there can't be enough hours in the day but I'm in awe.
3.
So whilst we're on the topic of social media obvs I have to mention Holly's Instagram. It's instantly recognisable as hers and her following is INSANE. If you're a fan of flatlay and lotttts of white and a really washed out graphique kinda look then Holly's theme is totally up your street. All the monochrome is my absolute dream.
2.
And that leads us very very nicely onto my favourite post of Holly's of late; What It's Really Like To Be Falsely Accused Of Using Bots. I saw some of the calling out of Holly on social media and was super super interested to read about her experience and a lil insight into the other side. I mentioned in a blog post or two last month that the drama surrounding the bots got plain nasty and wayyyy out of hand.
1.
I always do a little blog stalk when someone advertises with me, a more in depth look into someone's blog that I don't normally do when I'm just catching up on their latest posts and in my 'research' of Holly's I found her SHOP MY pages. There's beauty and shop the Instagram and I looooove a good exciting tab on a blog. Have a peep (and treat yo self) here.

Literally every time I check in on Ellen's blog there's like 10 new posts. I don't know how on earth she generates so much content so frequently but I suggest you follow her on Bloglovin cos that's where I have to keep up! She's a blogging machine!
4.
Of the latest blog posts on Ellen's site, my fav was about using images and graphics on your blog. It's no surprise that we're very visual people and it's the tweets with good graphics on that get the clicks linking back to your blog. This guide on what works and what you might be missing is a simple informative read- and something you can definitely implement very easily.
3.
If you're in need of some serious bargains you NEED to be following Ellen on Facebook. Give her page a lil like and it's a constant stream of where's got discounts, where you can get the best deal and what's going to make you the most dollah (or at least save you some).
2.
And if that ain't enough for you then definitely follow Ellen on Twitter cos it's like the Facebook page....but ten fold. I swear every time I refresh she's there with more bargains and more links to money off. I mean it does nothing for your bank balance cos you want all the goodies but at least it's at a discounted price right? Right?
1.
If you remember way back last week when it was April you might remember that Ellen was an advertiser with me last month and you'll be pleased to know in that case that she signed up with me for 3 months on the spin which means yes, ladies and gentlemen she'll be returning in June too! Have a read and a nosey at the links I shared last month over here.

Well these two little love bugs don't need introducing to the majority of you I'm sure. Jess and Josh Cook is a blog name and twitter handle I see flying around all over cyberspace and I am sure your feed is no exception - it seems like everyone is talking about their blog and I always see just what a supportive wee gem Jess is.
4.
Like my humble self, Jess and Josh offer advertising packages every month but unlike me they have the biggest selection ever. Like seriously there are so many slots available per month with so many price brackets with so many different options available I don't know how they remember what they're doing for each person! Always one to catch up on a 'who's advertising' post, it made me happy to see Ellen and Holly were fixtures on Jess & Josh in April - it's who ya know right?
3.
It'll come as no surprise that I had to share their Instagram as my social media shout out I have no doubts. I mean, it's food. It's all food. And wonderful looking food at that. Don't pay a visit when you're starving hungry as I am writing this because trust me, whatever lame ass excuse for a recipe you have in your kitchen cupboards is not going to whip anything half as dreamy as this little feed.
2.
I am allll about newsletters at the moment. I am signing up to blog newsletters left right and centre (hit me up with a link if you have one) and I even created my own for my illustration business so can you imagine my leap for joy when I realised Jess and Josh have one too? I think it's such a nice addition to blogging at the moment, often just a snapshot of what someone's up to, a bit more informal and I am excited to see what this pair have to offer! You can sign up like I did over here.
1.
So here's an honest confession; having said above that I always see Jess and Josh's blog name floating around ima hold my hands up and say up until now I have only dipped in and out a coupla times a month when I've seen a link on Twitter that peaked my interest. However, having now spoken to Jess (albeit online, you feel me) through the advertising slots and on Twitter I am hooked on them. Now bookmarked as a firm fav blog I'm checking in whenever there's a new post and I thoroughly recommend you do too.

Oh lawd I left Rachel till last in the last advertising slot she did with me in February. She's going to think I hate her (I do, obvs). They say you might leave the best till last but that'd be unfair on my other advertisers but Rachel from No Space For Milk is one of my social media girl crushes and I think the world already knows about it. Oh btw since she advertised with me last she's changed her banner pink but I'm still working with the green of old so like don't shoot the messenger, I haven't just not bothered to go on her blog since Feb.
4.
Yeah so Rachel advertised with me back in February (you can see what I wrote about her here) and she's back for another crack at it. It honestly means the world when someone block books or returns to advertise with me because hopefully that means they enjoyed the experience and found it helpful and last week Rachel tweeted this about how her page views were up and I like to think it was cos Google really likes it when we collab.
3.
Since advertising with me last Rachel only went and got bloody engaged! I mean I'm not saying her advertising with me had anything to do with it...... If you follow her on Insta you'll see her lovely fiancé cropping up from time to time and when I saw her Instagram announcement I squealed. Audibly squealed. (Ps while we're talking Instagram her's is looking fiiiine atm).
2.
I wrote a tweet a week or so back which I can't find cos it's long gone in the archives of Twitter about how her and Beth (adventure&anxiety) will never write a tweet I don't 100% agree with or relate to and she hasn't let me down yet. She's always there on my 'you might have missed' blocks and damn straight, I always end up liking. Sometimes I think oh no ffs don't like another one of her tweets she's going to think you're a stalker but alas, I always read them like YES YES YES ME TOO and I have to like them. She stuck with me.
1.
What I love about Rachel's blog most is it feels like I'm having a chinwag with an old pal. Like every time I check in I don't know what to expect, I don't know what I'll find be it mental health related, blogging related or just a bit of a rant and I adore that. There have been a few favourites in the last month or so that are obviously written off the cuff in response to things she's read or drama on Twitter or opinions that are floating around and I love that she captures how I feel about every single one every time. I've chosen to share her blog post about the community because I relate so much. The reason most of us feel part of the blogging community is because for a little while we had to be that weird newbie who kept pushing into convos and making people be friends with us and eventually, your name is popping up in so many chats people start to recognise you and whahey, hey presto you have your little squad.
