Friday Favourites 21st - 27th May 2016

Another week over, another week that has flown by! I've been hideously busy this week because I'm away today and tomorrow in Derby and then it's my niece's birthday on Sunday so I have been blogging, scheduling and packing AND babysitting. And then I decided to have a massive Etsy relaunch on June 1st so I've been photographing and pricing and packaging and listing ready for that too!

I'll be hosting a giveaway to celebrate the launch of my new look Etsy shop so keep an eye out for that and in the meantime there's 50% off to clear all my old stock!

Have a nosey at my Etsy shop here!

1. Family.

I have family as I'm sure most people do who live hours and hours away that we only see once in a blue moon a few times a year and when we do get together, we ALL get together. This week we had some cousins down and we embarked on the traditional Rees family get together of a chippy tea and one of them meals where everyone is crammed round one table on makeshift chairs. Like one person on a stool, two kids sharing, some desk chairs thrown in. It's madness and I love it and this time was even better cos I got the BEST chicken nuggets to go with my chips too. I'm easy to please.

2. Ebay Bargains.

It may come as no surprise that as a big advocate of Primark, I am a fan of a bargain and therefore Ebay is aways on my frequently visited tab on my phone. I've been searching for a paid of white sandals for a while now, I saw a pair on Pinterest that got me hooked on the idea and then Sarah posted some in her Nature Photography Tag (read here) and I just knew I needed some. Sadly Primark and New Look didn't have any and I didn't fancy paying 40 quid in Topshop I went on an Ebay hunt and I came up with these beauties for £3.99. YES you read correctly. I sized up which was the correct move and they are SO comfy and look really durable and I am made up! Now I just need the weather....

3. Driving.

So this one might be a bit weird for a favourites but bear with me because it is something I've genuinely enjoyed. I have been driving for 6 months at the end of this month and had my car since December and this week I've been out and about running errands which you might think wouldn't make it to the favourites list. But it has and that's because 1. I bloody love driving anyway but 2. I am just pleased to be able to help out. My mum has been working all of this week plus babysitting my niece plus dealing with the family we had down and she's frantically making cakes for her birthday and all of that. So it's nice to help out, to be able to just jump in the car and go and get what she needs at the shops or go exchange a present before work in the morning. I am very aware of being a twenty something who is at home a lot of the time who occasionally needs to borrow money at an age where my parents thought they'd probably be shot of all that. So yeah, it's nice to help out this week.

Oh FYI the picture is off my DrivePlus box, I have one of them little Black Boxes in my car to track my driving and *hopefully* get some money off my insurance at the end of the year so if anyone has been looking into one or wants to know a bit more just comment or message me!

4. Late Night Bloggers.

You only have to have a look at my bullet journal to know I am a fan of Twitter chats, I bang on about it enough but Wednesday night's Late Night Bloggers was a proper corker. The topic was Superheroes and was super accessible to people who didn't read comics or watch movies and it was flippin hilarious. I genuinely laughed out loud reading some of the tweets and responses and it made my night it really did. It's always a good chat so make sure you join in next week!

5. Weekend Away.

Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, when you read this I'll be in Derby for the weekend, somewhere I know nothing about and have never been! My Dad, my brother, is girlfriend and I are leaving my Mum and my niece at home and road tripping the 3 hours to Derby because my brother's girlfriend has some stuff to do there. We're just going overnight but I LOVE a night away in a hotel, especially cos I have a room to myself which I NEVER have! I'm sure it'll feature on next week's favourites!

Bear with me whilst I'm away. I'm sure I'll find some time to Instagram!
