Hello from 2019

It’s been a hot minute.

Last time we spoke it was a whole other year (anyone sick of that joke yet?) and I was probably waxing lyrical about how I have no time to blog and how I want to and then it was Christmas and here we are again about a month later.

It’s just a quick one from this morning, a quick hello, a wave from 2019, a nod to what passed in 2018. I would say normal service will resume soon but I don’t even know what my new normal is. Probably apologising for not blogging and wishing I was blogging more and then prioritising something else. Thank the lord for new years bullet journal enthusiasts is all I can say because you huns are keeping my stats from falling off the charts.

Well here we are, a week into 2019 and I have a million ideas for posts about bujo content and resolutions (or lack of) and I want to do an update on my word of the year but instead I am writing a little hi, a little “I’m still here” post and then wrapping it up to go to work and try and do some life admin in my lunch break.

I started the year right with a games night and cards against humanity with my family and belly laughing till we left at 3am and then followed it up with a few days sick and back to work blues and a cute car bill. This week I am jetting off to Copenhagen with my best blog pals for a long weekend in the cold to put the world to rights, catch up and hopefully eat lots of yummy snacks and take lots of artsy photos of us candidly looking off into the scenery so we can use them on Instagram.

So here’s to 2019 - to the year I turn 27, to the year of Brexit, to my first full year of work and the year I supposedly plan a wedding. I hope you have a good one.
