Why Every Bullet Journal Addict Needs A Cratejoy Subscription. *

It'll come as no surprise to you that bullet journaling and planning is one of my favourite things to do and the idea that there might be a subscription box based on the humble bujo.

Subscription boxes are no new concept and Cratejoy is no different, except it's a one stop shop for ALL the subscription boxes. You'll find everything from homeware to stationery to food to plants to books to gaming and familiar faces like Papergang and it couldn't be simpler. Search for what box you want and you can subscribe, grab one as a one off, send one as a gift, sample them all - anything and everything you could want.

How To Totally Transform Your Bullet Journal For 2017 +

Ok so yesssss January 1st was well over a fortnight ago now and yessss you're probably all sick of the idea of changing it up for a new year and yessss you've probably all started your new bujo already but hey - I was ill ok?

THE stationary fad of 2016 was bullet journaling, a concept likely to stay with us for a long while yet and an obsession of mine (and coincidentally my most popular posts content, neat).

If you're a regular reader of my blog you'll know I'm no stranger to that Bullet Journal life so the idea that I have adapted mine for Christmas will probably come as no surprise to you.

Don't forget if you DO fancy glammin up your journal for the festive season I created a bunch of printables for you to download and trace at home which you can find below!

My Bullet Journal - 6 Months On.

Can you believe it was the end of August I last did a bullet journal update? Bearing in mind anything bujo is my most popular content you'd have thought I'd have tapped into that and done a few more but alas....here we are. Life runs away with us.

As always not that much has changed in my bullet journal per se, I am still working all black and white and I'm still generally using it the same. I am over halfway through the notebook I'm using now and I think December and January will be busy months full of to do lists so I have plans for my next journal up and running in my head.

Bullet journals are definitely the hot topic of 2016 stationery world and Instagram and blogs and social media are full of the prettiest ones to give us inspo (or jealousy). But doodling and typography doesn't come naturally to us all and as I'm not too shabby I like to share some freebies for you all.

This time I'm back with three festive themed printables for your choice which are all completely free to use in your journals and notebooks this season. They're aimed at A5 kinda sized notebooks and the idea is you save them, print them and then trace them for whatever doodling you want!

My Bullet Journal: A Four Month On Update.

I wrote a bullet journal update a while back and said maybe, maybe not I'd do a monthly update on my bullet journal but then in July I went on holiday and didn't do one and that erm, answered my question really.

So it's been a while, my bullet journal is 4 months and ninety-odd pages in and I have changed a lot so I thought it was long overdue a little catch up and a little peek inside what it looks like.

2 Months Into My Bullet Journal - What's New?

I don't think I'm going to do a monthly bullet journal update even though I have for the past 3 months but you never know, I do love a good blog series.

I've made a few changes to my bullet journal this month, I've added some pages and I've come to the end of others and I am just as obsessed with using it as I was at the start. I find that I kind of use it in two ways, I forward plan what I am doing/whose birthday it is/what's coming up and then I also use it on a daily basis as a bit of a reflection. This is when I fill in my habit tracker for the day and write a few notes for the next day etc.

Bullet Journals - the hottest thing happening in stationery right now.

It is no secret that I am a massive fan, as are 213829847238764 bloggers and non bloggers alike and it's taken the world by storm. Bullet Journaling has really changed the way I take notes and track my goals and my habits in a way I probably wouldn't have paid attention to before and I can't see my love depleting any time soon.

If you're considering starting a bullet journal but haven't taken the plunge or you have read about it but don't know where to start - here's a few recommendations from one addict on how to get the ball rolling.

My Bullet Journal: One Month On.

It is no shock to the system to learn that I am a fan of the bullet journal trend that has taken the blogging world by storm. I have long professed my love for stationery and lists and organisation and I'm a cliche blogger too. I started my bullet journal (a TK Maxx bargain FYI) in May this year and I am IN LOVE.

***FREE*** Bullet Journal Printables.

Can I emphasise enough that they're free?

Last weekend I wrote about my first week using my bullet journal, a pink bargain from TK Maxx (read the original post here) and being the photo heavy post that is was, the one thing that commented on more than anything was how pretty it was.

So FYI if you are new to the blog I am trained and qualified and practising as an illustrator so design and illustration and doodling and making things look pretty is literally my business - it is how I make my money. After having 217489237592375 people tweet me like "ugh I wish mine could look like this' or saying they were pinning images to copy later I soon realised that actually if you haven't naturally got an artistic flair but want your BuJo to look a certain way, drawing like this or handwriting nice fonts and banners is actually quite difficult.

Thus the idea came into my head for this post and subsequently turned into me having a massive surge of inspiration and designing all kinds of new projects for my Etsy shop which are all at the printers.

Week 1 With My Bullet Journal.

When I first heard about bullet journalling I knew it was the one for me because I already use 179847391792 lists and notebooks and for a lover of stationery what better excuse to go on a haul?

I didn't want to fork out for the traditional notebook of bullet journallers (is that the technical term for us?) so I snapped this pink beauty up in TK Maxx in Bristol for fiver at the beginning of April. It's got a really thick matte finish on the cover which is really durable which I love and the pages inside are lined and reasonably thick so ghosting is kept to a minimum.

Without further ado here's a cheeky run through of my bullet journal and how I'm using it so far!

But hey! Today marks the start of National Stationery Week which is a week I think the majority of us can DEFINITELY get on board with!
